Solar Scheme 2024: PM Narendra Modi की Suryodaya Yojana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious vision of rooftop solarisation will provide 300 units of free electricity to 1 crore households every month resulting in savings of ₹15,000-20,000 per month. This significant announcement promises a bright future not only for the renewable energy industry but also for numerous enthusiasts and entrepreneurs urging new employment opportunities
The government, in January, increased benchmark central financial assistance for the residential sector under the
rooftop solar program to give a push to the projects and cover the higher cost of solar panels.
Support for up to 3 kW capacity was raised to Rs 18,000 per kW for general states, up 23.4%, from Rs 14,588 per kW earlier,
according to a notification from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
The Union Budget for 2023-24 had provided for an allocation of Rs 7,327 crore for the solar power sector including grid,
offgrid, and PM-KUSUM projects. This was a 48 per cent increase over the previous Rs 4,979 crore provided in the revised
estimates for the previous budget.

Zero-energy buildings (ZEBs)
Zero-energy buildings (ZEBs) usually use less energy than traditional buildings as well as generate their own energy on-site to use in the building. Many people in developing countries (and elsewhere) already live in zero-energy buildings. Most buildings today use a lot of energy -- to keep the lights on, cool the air, heat water, and power personal devices. Even installing solar systems will not significantly counter the heavy energy load. There are, however, some buildings that strike a balance; or even tip the scales the other way! These are called zero energy buildings.
Upcoming - Zero Energy Building (ZEB)
Knowledge - These buildings are designed to reduce energy consumption through energy-efficient technologies and to generate energy through renewable sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, or geothermal systems. The ultimate goal is to have a net-zero energy balance, where the building produces enough energy to meet its own energy demands.

Solar Project Design Master Course
Admission going on for Mar & Apr - 2024
The current project is focused on the design a large-scale PV solar power plant. To make the design it is carried out a methodology for the calculation of the different
parameters required for the realization of a project of this nature. Subsequently, the different parameters
obtained are compared with parameters obtained in literature and with the parameters obtained by means
of specialized PV software.
Before implementing the design calculation methodology, the main components in a large-scale PV
plant are described: PV modules, mounting structures, solar inverters, transformers, switchgears and DC
and AC cables. Furthermore, the following aspects are analysed in the current project: legislative and
administrative procedures, renewable energy support schemes and environmental aspects associated
with large-scale PV plants.
The calculation methodology is divided in: design calculations, energy calculations,
economic calculations and evaluation parameters calculation.
Solar PV Design Job Summary
In most solar EPC/installation companies, design team is a critical element and hence most companies prefer to have an in-house design engineer. With the India Government’s impetus to achieve 200 GW of Solar Power by 2022, there will be a good amount of demand for Solar PV Design Engineers in the country.
A Solar PV Designer's job is mainly to design and develop site plans for solar panel installation.
The Design Engineer takes the initial system concept ideas and translates them into fully detailed
construction ready designs. Coordinating with multiple team members and customers, the Design Engineer
balances the necessity of a customer solution with the efficiency of standard practices.
Job Description
A typical Solar PV Designer's job will predominantly revolve around following three key responsibilities:
- Calculations & Design
- BOM Preparation
- Overseeing project execution
Skills Expected
- Ability to design PV systems
- Has knowledge in PVSYST and AutoCAD
- Has knowledge in electrical design concepts
