Net metering is a billing system that allows rooftop owners having solar system installed at their rooftop to sell any excess electricity generated from solar system to local electricity utility
Voltage Level:
240 V (single Phase) : upto 5 kWp max.
415V (Three phase): Above 5 to 75 kWp max
High Tension (HT) : Above 75 kWp
Conditions:= 80% of your Sanctioned Load
Cumulative capacity of all solar systems installed in your area shall not exceed 50% of Local Distribution transformer capacity at LT level
Telangana targets to connect 5,000 MW of solar power to grid by 2022
Telangana has been the frontrunner in generating solar power in the country and going forward with plans to stay ahead of other States.
It moved from being a power-deficit State to ending power cuts within just six months of formation. And according to top officials,
the State is planning to add an additional 473 MW of solar power to the existing 3,336 MW connected to grid.
The State had set an ambitious target of connecting 5,000 MW of solar power to grid by 2022.
Karnataka topped the installed solar energy capacity chart at 5.16 GW followed by Telangana at 3.4GW and Andhra Pradesh at 2.56 GW as on July 31, 2017, the minister noted.
The country is on track to comfortably achieve the target of 100 GW of solar capacity by 2022.
